Some very exciting news from BIS was released today, the addition of a JVM to Take On Helicopters and in the future to ArmA III, which means that you can run Java code as scripting to your mission.

You can use established IDEs to code for your missions (and addons), debug it properly, set breakpoints, and most of all use a proper language instead of proprietary languages.

Now where did I put that Java for dummies book...
