Charlie Collins was the beneficiary after some intense drama charging to the finish on Saturday, scoring the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup feature win after four grueling laps of action at the famed Nurburgring. Making the pass after leader Kevin Ellis Jr. and Dayne Warren made contact in the closing corners, Collins held off Maximilian Benecke by just .128 seconds to take the main event victory on the Gesamtstrecke, which combines the circuit’s modern GP-Strecke with the legendary and challenging Nordschleife.
As is so often the case, Sebastian Job took the sprint victory, but this one came a bit less predictably; he’d make a last lap pass of his own on polesitter and incoming points leader Diogo Pinto on the Dottinger Hohe straightaway to foreshadow how the sprint race would later go. While Job himself would take a DNF after an early collision in the main event, the rest of the field would emulate his maneuvers, with passes down the immense straightaway the order of the day.
Ellis and Warren would headline a group of six drivers going for the win on the final lap, with the former weaving as best as he could to try and break the draft of Warren and the rest of those behind him. Warren and Collins would take Ellis three-wide first, while Benecke would soon follow as Collins would nose ahead. Multiple drivers would get loose charging into the next corners, with Warren eventually clipping the grass to wind up in a full spin that collected Ellis behind him. From there it was a one-on-one fight, with Collins managing to hang on.
Tyson “Quirkitized” Meier and Marco “MabixTV” Bischoff would split the victories in the All-Star action, which featured the Porsche 911 GT3 R for the Nurburgring. That duo would get past eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series standout Casey Kirwan on the final lap of the sprint race, while all three would renew pleasantries in the feature on—where else—Dottinger Hohe. Both Kirwan and Meier would get past Bischoff in the slipstream, but after contact of their own while going for the checkered flag, Bischoff would avoid getting caught up in the mess and take the main event. Kirwan would recover for second, while Meier extended his points lead in third.
